Notice to Mariners 08 - 2022 is now cancelled. The three yellow mooring buoys associated with the “Portugal” wreck site have been removed.


Notice to Mariners 09 - 2022 is now cancelled.


Development and construction activity continues in the area West of the Inner Anchorage and North West of Glumaig Harbour; south of the line of latitude 580 11.85’N and West of the line of longitude 0060 22.95’W.
4 yellow special marker buoys have been installed delineating the construction area as follows:

• SB1: 58 11.811N, 006 23.206W Unlit
• SB2: 58 11.817N, 006 23.060W Lit yellow Fl. 5 sec
• SB3: 58 11.734N, 006 23.003W Unlit
• SB4: 58 11.660N, 006 22.953W Lit yellow Fl. 5 sec


All harbour users not directly involved in construction activities are required to avoid the construction area enclosed by these 4 buoys and the beacon on Sgeir na Pacaid.


This construction area will be subject to varying depths and will have a variety of equipment and material deployed throughout the construction phase, including rock and equipment below but near surface, on and above surface and in the intertidal range.
