NOTICE TO MARINERS – 1-2023
Stornoway Harbour Deep Water Terminal Construction & Development Works

Notices to Mariners 10 - 2022 and 12-2022 are now cancelled.
Construction activity continues in the area West of the Inner Anchorage and North West of Glumaig Harbour; South of the line of latitude 580 11.85’N and West of the line of longitude 0060 22.95’W.
The main berth lines are now established, with piling operations continuing. Dredging operations are nearing completion with the dredged material having been discharged into the reclamation area enclosed within the berth lines and revetments.
In order to facilitate dredging close to the newly constructed berths the following buoys, installed last year to delineate the construction area prior to the above water works being established and becoming easily visible by eye and by radar, have been permanently removed.

• SB1: 58 11.811N, 006 23.206W Unlit
• SB2: 58 11.817N, 006 23.060W Lit yellow Fl. 5 sec
• SB3: 58 11.734N, 006 23.003W Unlit
• SB4: 58 11.660N, 006 22.953W Lit yellow Fl. 5 sec
Harbour users not directly involved in construction activities should avoid the construction area and navigate with caution, having due regard to construction vessels.
