ENVIRONMENTAL

Stornoway Port Authority is working closely alongside our partners the MCA and Police Scotland to keep all areas of the port clean by eradicating the pollution problem within the harbour at its source.
YOU CAN HELP US TOO & HERE’S HOW:

If you happen to see oil or any other pollution coming from any vessel or other source please notify the port immediately on either VHF Channel12 or by calling 01851 702688. Any photographs you take of the pollution source will also greatly assist in keeping the port clean. Your cooperation would be much appreciated.

Under its Environmental Policy, Stornoway Port Authority requires all business units, assets and vessels operating within the confines of Stornoway Harbour to preserve the environment for the benefit of the community and to preserve the integrity of wild life habitats. As such, dumping of any material overboard is strictly prohibited.

Vessels intending to visit Stornoway who have Waste for disposal, should complete the relevant Waste Notification Form, and transmit same to the Harbour Office.
